Dear Esteemed Partners, Colleagues, and Visionaries of ASEAN’s Energy Future,
The ASEAN region faces both extraordinary opportunities and pressing challenges in shaping a sustainable energy future. The 8th ASEAN Energy Outlook (AEO8) paints a compelling picture: by 2050, ASEAN’s population will surge by 15.8%, accompanied by an average annual economic growth rate of 4%. These projections underscore a critical reality – energy demand will continue to rise, demanding urgent innovation, collaboration, and strategic foresight to achieve energy security, accessibility, affordability, and sustainability for all. We are reminded that achieving these goals hinges on one irreplaceable factor: you.
At the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), we recognise that meeting these challenges requires more than ambition – it demands unity. As the intergovernmental organisation that assumes a central role in the ASEAN energy sector, ACE is pleased to organise the 25th AEBF with the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) Malaysia as the Host. AEBF-25 will be held in conjunction with the 43rd AMEM at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Malaysia.
AEBF-25 brings the theme “Powering ASEAN: Bridging Boundaries, Building Prosperity”, aligned with Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship on Energy. It highlights the ASEAN Power Grid (APG) as the special focus for this year to strengthen regional connectivity, marking a defining moment for ASEAN.
AEBF-25 serves as ASEAN’s premier platform for Public-Private Engagement (PPE). We expect participation from governments, regulators, industry leaders, investors, and innovators to promote and discuss the development of the energy sector in ASEAN through regional cooperation. We also expect to welcome our new partners from BRICS and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
We are privileged to welcome the Prime Minister of Malaysia to join us in the opening ceremony; Ministers of Energy from all 10 ASEAN Member States (AMS) together with their Senior Officials; national power utilities, oil and gas companies; renowned international organisations such as the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the World Nuclear Association (WNA), the International Hydropower Association (IHA), and others; and of course, respected industry leaders.
This proposal outlines a spectrum of engagement opportunities – from strategic sponsorships to bespoke partnership packages – designed to amplify your impact.
On behalf of ACE, I extend my deepest gratitude for your consideration and eagerly anticipate your partnership through AEBF-25.
With renewed commitment to a brighter energy future.
Best regards,
Dato’ Ir. Ts. Razib Dawood
Executive Director, ASEAN Centre for Energy
